Help viewing PDF files with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Installing Adobe Acrobat

Acrobat Reader must be installed on your computer in order to view PDF documents. The program should be installed as a helper application to your Web browser (e.g., to Netscape or to Microsoft Internet Explorer). While retrieving and installing the Acrobat Reader is not a complex task, it can take some time, so it is suggested that you carry out this step as early as possible.

First, go to the Adobe Acrobat download site and follow the steps. Remember, it is the free Acrobat Reader you wish to download, not the full Acrobat 4.0 tool. So, click on "Get Acrobat Reader" to continue. Please be patient: depending on the type of your computer and the time of the day, downloading may take anywhere from a few minutes to 60 minutes.

Once you have downloaded the software, simply follow the installation instructions included with the Adobe Acrobat Reader Software. Adobe also provides installation instructions on its Web site. If you are having difficulty with the installation, we suggest that you contact your technical support group to assist you.
