SECTION 45 – External Working Group
On November 3, 2005, the Commissioner of Competition announced that the Competition Bureau had struck an external working group of expert lawyers and economists to help the Bureau consider various models that could be used when applying section 45 of the Competition Act. The members of the external working group are listed below.

The Bureau also struck an internal working group in order to review the proposed models.
In June 2006, the members of the external and internal working groups completed their work.
The Bureau will spend the next several months reviewing the work done by the internal and external working groups. Based on this review, the Bureau intends to formulate proposals regarding the reform of section 45 and hold public technical roundtables to discuss those proposals.
