The Ordinary Selling Price provisions are designed to ensure that when products are promoted at sale prices, consumers are not misled by reference to inflated regular prices. The Competition Bureau encourages retailers in all sectors to examine their pricing practices to ensure that they conform to the deceptive marketing practices provisions of the Competition Act.
