Mr. Zed (Parliamentary Secretary to the Leader of the

Committee, which was as follows:
The Committee recommends, pursuant to Standing Orders 104 and 114, the
following change in the membership of the Standing Committee on Justice and
Legal Affairs:

The Committee also recommends, pursuant to Standing Orders 104 and 114,
that the following Members be added to the list of Associate Members of the

Introduction of Government Bills
Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of
Mr. Eggleton (Minister for International Trade), seconded by Mr.
Massé (President of the Treasury Board and Minister responsible
for Infrastructure), Bill C-81, An Act to implement the Canada-Chile
Free Trade Agreement and related agreements, was
introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and
ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.
Recommendation
(Pursuant to Standing Order 79(2))
His Excellency the Governor General recommends to the House of
Commons the appropriation of public revenue under the
circumstances, in the manner and for the purposes set out in a
measure entitled ``An Act to implement the Canada-Chile Free Trade
Agreement and related agreements''.
Introduction of Private Members' Bills
Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of
Mrs. Brown (Calgary Southeast), seconded by Mrs. Wayne (Saint
John), Bill C-371, An Act to amend the Department of Justice Act,
was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and

PRIVATE MEMBERS' BUSINESS

(Waterloo), moved, -- That, in the opinion of this House, the
government should consider the advisability of establishing a
Public Safety Officers Compensation Fund to receive gifts and
bequests for the benefit of spouses and children of police
officers and firefighters who loose their lives in the line of
duty. (Private Members' Business M-306)
