Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Martin (Winnipeg Centre), seconded by Ms. Crowder (Nanaimo—Cowichan), Bill C-262, An Act to amend the Old Age Security Act (monthly guaranteed income supplement), was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.

By unanimous consent, it was ordered, — That, notwithstanding any Standing Order or usual practices of the House, on Thursday, May 18, 2006, the House shall meet at 9:00 a.m. and proceed to the ordinary daily routine of business, followed by Government Orders; at 11:00 a.m. Members may make statements pursuant to Standing Order 31; not later than 11:15 a.m. oral questions shall be taken up; at noon, the House shall stand adjourned to the next sitting day;
