PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND
2003 WAGE SURVEY

The 2003 Wage Survey for Prince Edward Island was conducted by Statistics Canada on behalf of Human Resources Development Canada - Prince Edward Island Region and the Province of Prince Edward Island.

The 2003 Wage Survey provides information for 78 occupations found in the PEI labour market. Wage rates are presented at the provincial level for the following categories:

  • Starting with no experience
  • Starting with experience
  • Most frequently paid

More detailed wage information is available upon request. For some occupations we are able to provide wages for full-time and part-time employment, wages by union status, and/or wages by industry group.

For information on minimum wage rates, view the Database of Minimum Wages.

The information in this report is organized by the National Occupational Classification (NOC) structure. NOC is a four digit code that is used to classify occupations by type of work and educational/training requirements. There are a number of commonly used job titles included in each occupational grouping.
