The Canadian Mental Health Association, BC Division (CMHA BC), presents its annual Bottom Line Conference in the Workplace, February 20, 2008, 7:30 a.m.-4:15 p.m., at the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The theme of this year's conference — Looking for Leaders: Everyone Can Make a Difference! — aims to address the fact that, although mental illness in the workplace costs Canadian organizations billions each year, it's a subject most employers and workers don't know how to talk about.
HR specialists, business leaders, union reps, and frontline workers will benefit from learning how to positively impact workplace perceptions and policies on mental illness, as well as how attention to mental health and illness in the workplace will help retain employees, increase employee health and productivity, and decrease absenteeism and disability claims.
