Purpose
The WCB - Alberta is committed to the prevention of workplace accidents
and disease. Working with workers, employers, industry safety associations
and labour organizations, it promotes injury prevention and develops
effective disability management services. With a strong eight-decade
heritage, the WCB-Alberta has made significant progress in the prevention
and management of work-related injury and illness.
The WCB-Alberta is actively supporting the involvement of workers,
employers, researchers and educators in helping to improve workplace
health & safety. Focusing on areas of concern affecting workers
today, the WCB-Alberta supports research undertaken by safety associations
that directly affect the mission statement of the WCB-Alberta: Albertans
working - a safe, healthy and strong Alberta.
