PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYMENT ACT
Special Appointment Regulations, No. 2002-2

Whereas, pursuant to subsection 41(1) of the Public Service Employment Act, the Public Service Commission has decided that it is neither practicable nor in the best interests of the Public Service to apply that Act, with the exception of sections 32, 33 and 34, to André Juneau, Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet (Operations), Privy Council Office, on his concurrent appointment to the position of Deputy Head of the Office of Infrastructure and Crown Corporations of Canada, and while employed in that position, and has excluded André Juneau, Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet (Operations), Privy Council Office, from the operation of that Act, with the exception of sections 32, 33 and 34, on his concurrent appointment to the position of Deputy Head of the Office of Infrastructure and Crown Corporations of Canada, and while employed in that position;
And whereas, pursuant to subsection 37(1) of the Public Service Employment Act, the Public Service Commission recommends that the Governor in Council make the annexed Special Appointment Regulations, No. 2002-2;
Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council,
(a) on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to subsection 41(1) of the Public Service Employment Act, hereby approves the exclusion made by the Public Service Commission of André Juneau, Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet (Operations), Privy Council Office, from the operation of that Act, with the exception of sections 32, 33 and 34, on his concurrent appointment to the position of Deputy Head of the Office of Infrastructure and Crown Corporations of Canada, and while employed in that position; and
(b) on the recommendation of the Prime Minister and the Public Service Commission, pursuant to subsection 37(1) of the Public Service Employment Act, hereby makes the annexed Special Appointment Regulations, No. 2002-2.
SPECIAL APPOINTMENT REGULATIONS, NO. 2002-2
GENERAL
1. The Governor in Council may concurrently appoint André Juneau, Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet (Operations), Privy Council Office, to the position of Deputy Head of the Office of Infrastructure and Crown Corporations of Canada, to hold office during pleasure.
COMING INTO FORCE
2. These Regulations come into force on the day on which they are registered.
