Every year, Canadian employers hire thousands of foreign workers to help address skill and labour shortages.

Human Resources and Social Development Canada (HRSDC) and Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) work to ensure that foreign workers will support economic growth in Canada and help create job opportunities for all Canadians.

Find out what you, as an employer, must do if you plan to hire a foreign worker in Canada noting that a Quebec Acceptance Certificate (QAC) issued by the province is also required for jobs in Quebec.

Note : Please be aware that there are also specific processes for employers planning to hire foreign workers in a number of industry sectors and occupations.
