Workplace Equity Services

Workplace Equity Services (Ontario) administers 3 federal initiatives that require employers to plan, implement and achieve Workplace Equity. These programs include The Legislated Employment Equity Program (LEEP), The Federal Contractors Program (FCP) and the Equal Pay Program.

In total, over 1400 employers in Ontario region are subject to one or more of these programs. All 3 programs spring from the Employment Equity Act, which defines 4 designated groups. These designated groups are: Women, Visible Minorities, Persons with Disabilities and Aboriginal People.

Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
