2002 Canada Pension Plan Contributors Report

The data in this publication were compiled from records of the Canada Pension Plan Record of Earnings, which contains information on the earnings and contributions of each contributor. Information on individual contributors is held in strict confidence.

The tables include information on the number of contributors and the amount of contributions paid. These are distributed by gender, age, earnings level, employment status and by province. The information in these tables is taken from earnings data. It should not be mistaken for contributor information available from income data, which includes other sources such as pensions, interest and other investment income.

This publication is made available to all levels of government, social security organizations and the private sector. In addition to the information on Canada Pension Plan contributors in 2002, this publication also contains historical data dating from 1966 on frequently requested information.
