Study BackgroundIn 2005, EKOS was commissioned to undertake a survey on behalf of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada to get a snapshot of the Canadian public in relation to the privacy landscape. That study looked at emerging privacy issues with a particular focus on the cross-border transfer of Canadians' personal information. Because this field is so rapidly changing, in terms of technology, public policy and media coverage, EKOS undertook a follow-up survey a year later. Broad Perceptions
