* These Standing Rules of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick were first adopted as provisional Standing Rules for the 1985 and 1986 session of the Legislative Assembly (see 1985 Journals of the Legislative Assembly of N.B., pp. 34-36; 1986 Journals of Legislative Assembly of N.B., pp 15-16). The provisional Rules were modified at the sitting held on April 25, 1986. (See 1986 Journals of Legislative Assembly of N.B., p. 66). They became permanent on June 17, 1986 after having again undergone a few modifications. (see 1986 Journals of Legislative Assembly of N.B., pp. 213-26; 219-220).
