Summary

The Business Link is a not-for-profit organization proudly supported by the Government of Canada (through Western Economic Diversification) and the Government of Alberta (through Alberta Economic Development ), and member of the Canada Business network. Our goal is to provide business people in every part of Alberta with access to accurate, timely and relevant information and referrals. The Business Link serves as a central resource for Alberta business information.

From anywhere in Alberta, we are at your service! We are linked to a network of Regional Access partners throughout Alberta and dedicated to meeting your business needs. The Regional Access sites already have strong ties in the communities and provide similar services to small business owners. Therefore, both The Business Link and the individual regional sites are able to offer enhanced services by working together to deliver information to clients.

As part of this program, The Business Link offers the Regional Access Sites the following:

  • Access to several databases that can be used for finding detailed research on companies, suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and other specific information;
  • Access to dedicated research assistance from The Business Link;
  • Access to a Regional Lending Library for short term borrowing of additional resources;
  • Training of information officers through periodic workshops; and
  • Basic print and electronic resources.

Whether you visit our offices, or contact us by phone, fax or e-mail, our knowledgeable and courteous staff will respond quickly to your business questions or advise you of available options.

Clients can access many of these services by contacting the Regional Access Site in their area. Check out our on-line searchable database at http://www.cbsc.org/alberta/tbl.cfm?fn=regional
