Navigation

Assistance is provided by the top navigation bar and left-hand menu, which display the main sections of The Business Link's site. Click on each section and a list of sub-sections will be displayed immediately. Click on these items to view related information.

In our efforts to help you navigate our site we have provided 3 main subject headings:

• Business Information: This section offers information on 9 business-related topics (start-up, operations, financing, marketing, export/import, e-business, innovation, legal and taxation), identifies related government programs and services and links to additional sources of information.
  
  
• Business Resources: This section offers links to additional resources such as a database of government programs and services, our Info-Guides, a calendar of small business seminars and brown bag presentations that allows you to register on-line, our searchable library catalogue, information on the Guest Advisor Program which allows you to discuss your business concerns with volunteer professionals, access to our regional sites, and useful links to organizations offering events for entrepreneurs and to additional sources of information.
  
  
• Business Tools: This section gives you access to free on-line tools and tutorials such as the Interactive Business Planner, the Interactive Export Planner, the Business Start-Up Assistant and the Online Small Business Workshop.

At any given time, you can also view the same information in French by clicking on "Français" on the top navigation bar.

Searching

Our search engine is accessible on the left-hand side of every page and offers quick access to information through searches by keyword or phrase. The most relevant content will appear at the top of your results. At its simplest, a query can be just a word or a phrase, but you can expand the focus of your query and obtain more complete results by reading our Tips for Searching.

Keep in mind that we cannot possibly provide information on everything. If you cannot find what you are looking for, search our Library Catalogue or visit our Business Web Links for additional sources of information.

• The Business Link's Library holds a unique collection of over 4000 publications to help Alberta entrepreneurs obtain vital information to assist their business endeavours. • The Business Link partners with others to serve the needs of new and existing entrepreneurs.
