Offered by Training and Continuing Education, this program is aimed at employer groups and industry associations. Its goal is to help increase the number of employers in Manitoba investing in skills training to encourage long range human resource developement.
Eligibility Criteria
ITP facilitates industry-wide training with an emphasis on human resource planning agreements, industry-specified training initiatives, and human resource studies. Already existing industry associations are eligible as well as new employer groups formed for the purpose of participation in the program.
Summary
This program is aimed at developing sectoral training partnerships with industry associations to address short and long term human resource requirements. Examples of partnerships developed in strategic sectors of economic development include: aerospace, health-care products, tourism, agri-foods, construction, information technology, communications and culture. A formal agreement between an incorporated industry group and ITP outlines the terms of the cost-sharing agreement. Industry must be one of the financial partners and contributions typically include both cash and in-kind support. The cash support can be in the form of fees for courses or other direct contributions
