The Businesswomen in Trade Web site was developed by International Trade Canada (ITCan) for women entrepreneurs who lead small and medium enterprises to meet their special information and assistance needs that are relevant to exporting and export activities.

Eligibility Criteria

The site is tailored to businesswomen that want to begin exporting or improve their current export performance.

Summary

The Businesswomen in Trade Web site is a gateway to a wealth of information on preparing for and succeeding in the export marketplace. The site contains the following sections:

  • Essential Tools - Find practical tools to assist you, including online resources, available training, export financing and exporting Frequently Asked Questions.
  • Opportunities - Find out about upcoming trade missions, get advice and tips on how to make the most out of your trade mission experience, find government assistance programs that help Canadian companies export, including sources of trade leads and market information.
  • Export Library - Learn more about women in trade, through their success stories, challenges faced and overcome, and tips and advice for female travellers. Find publications about exporting and hard-to-find research and statistics.
  • Networking - Find key contacts, associations, or ask the experts at ITCan.
  • Events - Find out about upcoming conferences, workshops, trade missions and more.
