Cooperative Promotion Board

The Board operates under the terms of the Cooperative Promotion Trust Act and acts as a trustee for those surplus funds of the original Canadian Wheat Board apportioned to Manitoba. The Board provides small grants for start-up expenses leading to the formation of a cooperative; cooperative education; promotion; research and market development.
Eligibility Criteria
Individuals, educational institutions, agricultural organizations, cooperatives, and groups starting a cooperative.

Full Description
Grants may be made to support the following activities:
- Development and promotion of cooperative organizations.
- Promote the general welfare of the cooperative organization in Manitoba.
- Promote cooperative organization that contributes to community economic development.
- Promote cooperative research, information and education projects.
- Promote cooperative sector scholarships and awards.
