New Exporters to Border States
In partnership with International Trade Canada, Ontario Exports Inc. offers the New Exporters to Border States (NEBS) two-day program.  It is a practical program offered on site at a U.S. border point to introduce companies to the fundamentals of exporting.  Participants learn about export pricing, customs procedures, selecting agents and distributors, warehousing and distribution, banking and legal issues, export financing and insurance, immigration issues and identifying new market opportunities.  For further information, see the document  New Exporters to Border States - NEBS (Ontario).

Export Seminars and workshops

Ontario Exports Inc. has a team of international marketing consultants, who can provide information on foreign markets and guide Ontario suppliers of goods and services in developing their marketing strategies.  Ontario Exports Inc.'s international marketing consultants have extended access to a number of internal and external sources of country market reports.  Consultation with an international marketing consultant will help identify the appropriate market information required.  Market penetration assistance or information on product or service entry strategies may include import/export statistics, market demographics, advice on doing business in that market, major tariff and non-tariff barriers, import regulations, distribution channels, payment mechanisms, national holidays and travel suggestions. 

Product Promotion and Market Contacts
Ontario Exports Inc. introduces Ontario companies to key international contacts and buyers by facilitating their participation in major trade shows and missions.  Key contacts may include potential buyers and partners, agents and distributors, government officials, association leaders and chambers of commerce.  Outgoing missions may be lead by the Premier, Cabinet Ministers, and/or senior government officials.  Incoming buyer delegations permit Ontario companies to showcase their products and services and meet buyers and senior foreign delegates.  Product promotion activities include selected, international trade shows, domestic trade events, incoming buyer delegations and outgoing company missions.

Celebrating Export Excellence - Ontario Global Traders Awards
The Ontario Global Traders Awards celebrates outstanding exporting achievement by small and medium-sized enterprises.  It was created by the Government of Ontario and its “Partners in Trade” in recognition of the important contribution exporters make to the Ontario economy.

Six awards are presented in each of the four regions across Ontario: Leadership, Innovation, Student Achievement, Partnership, Market Expansion Product and Market Expansion Service.  Regional award winners are eligible to win one of six provincial awards which are presented at a provincial ceremony.  For further information, see the document  Ontario Global Traders Awards.
