Gasoline Tax rate lowered by 3.8 cents

On October 3, 2006 at midnight, the New Brunswick Gasoline Tax rate has been reduced from 14.5 cents per litre to 10.7 cents per litre - the second lowest rate in Canada after Alberta.

Once again this year, the New Brunswick Department of Finance is offering assistance to low-income seniors under the Low-Income Seniors’ Benefit program. The deadline to apply for the supplement is November 30, 2006.
