Charters of Rights in Commonwealth Countries

  1. Parameters -

    A "Charter of Rights" is taken to mean:

    1. a section or sections within a constitution entrenching fundamental human rights, but not a statement of support for or guarantee of such rights contained in a Preamble or
    2. a statute that may be considered to be part of a constitution.
