Subject: Invitation to Comment on Draft Regulatory Guide G-360, Life Extension of Nuclear Power Plants

The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) is issuing for public review and comment, Draft Regulatory Guide G-360, Life Extension of Nuclear Power Plants.

The purpose of this Regulatory Guide is to inform licensees about the steps and phases to consider when undertaking a project to extend the life of a nuclear power plant.

The CNSC invites interested persons to assist in the further development of this draft regulatory document by commenting in writing on the documents content and potential usefulness. Please respond by July 21, 2006. Direct your comments to the postal or e‑mail address below, referencing file 1-8-8-360.

The CNSC will take the comments received on G-360 into account when developing the regulatory guide further. Any comments submitted including names and affiliations, may be made public.

The Draft Regulatory Guide G-360, Life Extension of Nuclear Power Plants, is available in English and French on the CNSC web site at www.nuclearsafety.gc.ca. Please see CNSC Backgrounder for G-360 for more information. A paper copy of the document in either official language may be ordered from:
