Subject: Publication of regulatory guide G-313, Radiation Safety Training Programs for Workers Involved in Licensed Activities with Nuclear Substances and Radiation Devices, and with Class II Nuclear Facilities and Prescribed Equipment
The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) has published regulatory guide G-313, Radiation Safety Training Programs for Workers Involved in Licensed Activities with Nuclear Substances and Radiation Devices, and with Class II Nuclear Facilities. This document replaces C‑200, Radiation Safety Training for Radioisotope, Medical Accelerator and Transportation Workers, which was issued for trial use and public review in January 1999.
The purpose of this regulatory guide is to assist licensees and applicants for licences for nuclear substances, radiation devices, and Class II nuclear facilities and prescribed equipment, to develop training programs for workers in accordance with applicable regulations.
The CNSC issued this document for stakeholder comment in May 2005, and the comments received were taken into account in finalizing the document.
Regulatory guide G-313 is available in English or French on the CNSC web site at www.nuclearsafety.gc.ca. A paper copy of the document in either official language can be ordered from:
