What Can We Offer You?

Work Environment

As part of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission you can work on a variety of exciting projects in Ottawa, across Canada and abroad, and you will have the opportunity to share ideas with specialists in your field. Since we are a relatively small organization - just over 400 employees - you will be able to interact directly with the senior management team. Join our team and make a difference in the nuclear world.

Training

Training and development are priorities at the CNSC. Solid training is provided to all staff. Project leaders are selected based on skill and expertise rather than on seniority.

Relocation

The CNSC is committed to helping employees with their transition to a new job. We understand the necessity of employee relocation to achieve our mandate. The CNSC has developed a relocation assistance package available to both new and existing employees. To view the relocation policy, click here. (Adobe Acrobat required)

Pay

The CNSC recognizes your value, which is why we offer competitive salaries. Salary scales are listed with job posters.

Benefits

We understand that benefits are an important element when deciding where to work. The CNSC offers a comprehensive benefits package, giving employees leave benefits including annual, bereavement, personal, maternity and parental leave, travel entitlements, home/auto insurance, and medical and dental coverage.

How To Apply

If you are interested in joining the CNSC team, applications are accepted through our on-line process.  This will allow you to apply for current openings, create a profile for future opportunities and create a job notification which will alert you to opportunities within the CNSC.  These services are provided by a third party, Workstream Inc., who is hosting our Career Opportunities web site.

Applicants must demonstrate on their résumé that they meet the screening criteria as described in the job posting. Some candidates may be required to undergo formal assessment and testing to confirm some or all of the abilities and personal qualities.

We thank all applicants for their interest. However, only those who meet our criteria will be contacted.

Please continue to visit the Career Opportunities section of our web site to view the current openings.

Thank you again for your interest in the CNSC and best of luck with your career endeavors.
