REQUEST FOR PUBLIC COMMENT
Draft Environmental Assessment Guidelines
Point Lepreau
The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) invites public comment on the draft environmental assessment guidelines (scope document) for the proposed modifications and construction of new structures at the Solid Radioactive Waste Management Facility in Point Lepreau, New Brunswick. Because this project requires registration under the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation of the New Brunswick Clean Environment Act, the federal and provincial environmental assessment processes are being carried out in a harmonized and co-operative manner.
The public comment period on the draft guidelines closes on March 8, 2002.
For information about this environmental assessment project, please see the
Project Description. Copies of the draft environmental
