All societies have music. In this exhibition, we will discover various forms, uses and sounds of musical instruments from Francophone countries around the world, as well as materials used to make instruments.
Homage to Nature: Landscape Kimonos of Itchiku Kubota
Complicated tie-dyeing is the most distinguishing characteristic of Tsujigahana, an ancient Japanese decorative textile-design method that also features elaborate brush paintings, intricate embroidery and gold-leaf appliqués. Itchiku Kubota revived this ancient method fifteen years ago, but he also incorporated new designs, and unique coloration and tie-dye methods in what is now known as Itchiku Tsujigahana.

Icons, bibles, paintings, sculptures and other objects serve as resonant symbols of the religion that marked its bimillenary in the year 2000.
India - The Living Arts
India is one of the world's great civilizations. This exhibition focuses on the arts of India -- the diversity of tribal, folk, and popular forms and styles, with particular emphasis on living traditions and selected examples of their historical antecedents.
