Learn the Ins and Outs of Woodturning at the Canadian Museum of Civilization

Gatineau, Quebec, February 16, 2006 — In conjunction with the Saidye-Bronfman Award 2005, the Canadian Museum of Civilization invites you to a demonstration of a fascinating art form, woodturning. Local woodturner Michele LeMay will demonstrate basic turning techniques, which can be used to transform a piece of wood, such as maple, into a functional and artistic piece. Ms. LeMay is a member of the Ottawa Valley Woodturner Association and has been turning wood for about three years.
