Opening events in conjunction with the new exhibition PETRA: Lost City of Stone at the Canadian Museum of CivilizationGatineau, Quebec, March 24, 2006 — The Canadian Museum of Civilization invites you to take part in the opening events organized in conjunction with the new exhibition PETRA: Lost City of Stone.
On April 7, meet curator Dr. Glenn Markoe of the Cincinnati Art Museum, who will unveil the mysteries of Petra. With awe-inspiring visuals, Dr. Markoe will give a dynamic talk on PETRA: Lost City of Stone, sharing his personal experiences while you enjoy coffee and Middle Eastern treats.
Then, on April 8 and 9, enjoy music and dance performances by the dance troupe Al-Arz, North America's leading Lebanese dance ensemble. They will perform traditional Middle Eastern music and folk dances.
