Ceremony commemorating ANZAC (Australia, New Zealand Army Corps) Day at the Canadian War Museum

Ottawa, Ontario, April 21, 2006 — You are cordially invited to attend a ceremony in the presence of His Excellency William Fisher, Australian High Commissioner, and His Excellency Graham Kelly, New Zealand High Commissioner, commemorating ANZAC (Australia, New Zealand Army Corps) Day.

ANZAC Day commemorates the landing of the Australia and New Zealand Army Corps at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915 and is the day on which Australia and New Zealand remember those who died in the subsequent conflicts in which both nations have been involved. This is the first time this event is being held at the new Canadian War Museum.
