CANADIAN WAR MUSEUM MARKS ITS ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

Ottawa, Ontario, April 30, 2006 — To mark the first anniversary of the new Canadian War Museum at 1 Vimy Place, a number of screenings of the Sound Venture's 1-hour documentary "In Search of a Soul" have been scheduled.

This engaging documentary examines the symbolism behind the magnificent architecture of the CWM, shedding light on internationally renowned, Toronto-based architect Raymond Moriyama's creative process, collaborations, inspirations and philosophies.

One year after opening its new home on LeBreton Flats, the Canadian War Museum has become the 2nd most visited cultural attraction in the Nation's Capital, attracting over 575,000 visitors in its first 11 months of operation. It has also won a number of architectural, design and construction awards, in both national and international competitions.
