Foreword

those who are discovering this territory
This presentation will take you back to the early seventeenth century, to share moments in the life of Champlain, the explorer who founded Quebec.

Samuel de Champlain

You will visit the first settlement built in Quebec. With his Montagnais, Algonquin and Huron allies, you will accompany Champlain to his first battle against the Iroquois. You will also discover the first route to the interior of the country. Archaeological finds and information from archaeologists will give you insight into the daily life of Champlain’s fellow adventurers on the edge of a new world.
