This exhibition unveiled treasures
from the Royal Museum for Central
Africa in Tervuren, Belgium. These masks, statues, figurines and
carvings from the Tervuren Museum's vast collections — many of which
had never been shown before — undoubtedly represent some of the
highlights of Central African art.
It was on display at the Canadian Museum of Civilization from October 17,
1996
