... a range of tools

The Virtual Museum of New France forsees an ongoing updating and enrichment of the files periodically placed on-line at the site. Over the months, visitors will see the creation of useful and essential consultation tools. In order to make files self-contained and make reference to them simple, each of the subjects covered will be accompanied by a glossary, a chronology, a bibliography and suitable illustrations.

In addition, the collaboration of partners will bring with it the creation of a certain number of supplementary tools that will make up the first interactive documentation centre on New France. These will include a bulletin board, library, archives, genealogical centre, a general chronology, a collection of biographies, a forum for exchanges, a museum for young people and a bibliographical list.

The Virtual Museum of New France will also offer its visitors collections made up of cards, illustrations, portraits, and objects. Finally, it will emphasize the holding of thematic exhibitions and will build several tourist trails for travellers wishing to visit North America and Western France in the footsteps of the explorers and pioneers of New France.
