Holiday season activities kick off at the Canadian Museum of Civilization Gatineau, Quebec, November 24, 2004 — You are invited to join us for the first of many holiday season activities held at the Canadian Postal Museum in the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
Holiday Wishes November 27 – 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Visitors 14 and over can learn how to add a personal touch to their greeting cards. The Holiday Wishes workshop will inspire participants to improve their penmanship and provide them with simple and effective methods of embellishing letters with techniques like those used in the “illuminated writing” of the Middle Ages. Tickets: $5 at the Museum Box Office, (819) 776-7000.
Santa’s Longest Letter December 4 and 5 – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Kids of all ages are invited to come and help us create the longest ever letter to Santa! With pen and paper in hand, children will be asked to write to Santa. These letters will then be sewn together to create a long letter that will be rolled up and sent to the North Pole!
Both events are sponsored by Canada Post.
