Special holiday programming at the Canadian Children’s Museum Gatineau, Quebec, December 3, 2004 — A great way to get into the holiday spirit is to take in some of the special activities and programmes at the Canadian Children’s Museum during the Christmas and holiday season.
Christmas Fun and Games! Friday, December 10 Build a toy in the Elves Workshop and play some holiday games from around the world. Don’t miss a special presentation of our Christmas play, Santa, at 10:00 a.m. (English) and 11:00 a.m. (French), where you’ll follow the adventures of a mischievous elf.
Santa’s Workshop December 11, 12, 18 to 23 — Throughout the day Work alongside our Studio elf as you decorate a toy to give to a special someone.
Building Blitz December 28 to 30, January 2 and 3 — Throughout the day It’s time to build in the CCM Theatre! Design a structure using thousands of Mega Bloks® of various shapes and sizes. Be inspired by expert builders as they re-create international landmarks from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
These programmes and workshops are free with Museum admission. Please note that workshops accommodate 25 participants at a time and that all programmes are subject to change without notice. Please call to confirm dates and times.
Please note that the Canadian Museum of Civilization, which includes the Canadian Children’s Museum, will be open on Monday, December 20, 2004, on Monday, December 27, 2004, on New Year’s Day Saturday, January 1, 2005 and on Monday, January 3, 2005. However, the Museum will close at 3:00 p.m. on December 24 and will be closed on December 25, 2004. The Canadian Children’s Museum closes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursdays.
