Get Your Adrenaline Pumping This Spring at the IMAX Theatre Gatineau (Quebec), March 26, 2003 – Adrenaline Rush: The Science of Risk is the most recent production from the Quebec City-based company, Sky High Entertainment. Filmed in such stunning locations as California’s Mojave Desert, the Florida Keys and the fjords of Norway, this entertaining and educational giant-screen experience will be launched on April 1, 2003 at the Canadian Museum of Civilization’s IMAX Theatre.
Adrenaline Rush offers audiences a breathtaking trip into the world of skydiving and base-jumping, and into the science that lies at the heart of such extreme activities. While providing spectacular shots of top professionals in the fields of skydiving and base-jumping, it also explores the physiological and psychological factors that determine why some people enjoy such high-risk activities while most of us prefer remaining safely on the ground. It also shows other connections between risk and science, as it presents a unique attempt by risk-takers Katarina Ollikainen and Adrian Nicholas to fly the parachute designed by the great Leonardo da Vinci, over five centuries ago.
Featuring three Quebecois and base-jumping fanatics: Mario Richard, Martin Dumas and Bertrand Cloutier, Adrenaline Rush promises to be an unforgettable experience.
Adrenaline Rush: The Science of Risk will be playing at the Canadian Museum of Civilization’s IMAX Theatre alongside Bears and Jane Goodall’s Wild Chimpanzees during spring 2003.
