Archaeology collection |
Collecting undertaken by the Archaeological Survey of Canada relates to human habitation, faunal and floral remains, and specimens of physical anthropology. The focus is on pre-historic sites. Of the thousands of sites investigated, a large proportion are in northern Canada. Some comparative world archaeological material is also held. The collection comprises an estimated 3.5 million items.
