Folk culture collection

Collecting undertaken by the Cultural Studies division documents folklife and the multicultural makeup of Canadian society (with the exception of Canada's First Peoples). The collection comprises about 23,000 artifacts, many of which lie in the area of folk arts. In recent years, collecting has expanded into the area of fine crafts.
