125th Anniversary Celebration in Support of the Canadian War Museum

In celebration of the 125th anniversary of the Canadian War Museum, presented by Mincom and Veterans Affairs Canada, the Museum was proud to host its first-ever fundraising event on November 2, 2005. The special celebration event was co-chaired by General Paul Manson (Ret'd), previous Chair of the Passing the Torch Campaign and member of the Canadian Museum of Civilization Corporation Board of Trustees, and Mr. Harvey Slack also a member of the Canadian Museum of Civilization Corporation Board of Trustees. Guests enjoyed an entertaining evening complete with a cocktail reception and a memorable performance of 'Till We Meet Again, an authentic theatrical re-creation of a CBC radio show from the 1940s presented by Theatre Panache.

Through the generous support of individuals and corporations, tickets sales, contributions and sponsorships, we raised more than $21,000. These funds will help support the preservation and protection of the Canadian War Museum's collection one of the finest collections of military art and artifacts in the world.
