Mediterranean Odyssey November 14 to 19 is Sepharadi Culture Week Gatineau, Quebec, November 8, 2004 — Sepharadi Culture Week is being celebrated in the National Capital Region for the first time! From November 14 to 19, the public is invited to enjoy the sounds, flavours and traditions of Sepharadi life in a series of cultural events called Mediterranean Odyssey. The Canadian Museum of Civilization is proud to join the embassies of Greece, Israel, Spain and Turkey, the Congregation Beth Shalom and the Communauté sépharade unifiée du Québec in celebrating the fascinating culture of the Sepharadi Jews — Jews who were uprooted from Spain in the 15th century and then settled in other lands around the Mediterranean.
