Attend a taping of La Grande virée at the Canadian Museum of Civilization

Gatineau, Quebec, August 11, 2003From August 18 to 21, the Télé-Québec program La grande virée, seen in French throughout Quebec, will be taped at the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Gatineau.

Télé-Québec and the Canadian Museum of Civilization invite the public to attend the program tapings on the shores of the Ottawa River, a magnificent site behind the Museum. In case of rain, the programs will be taped in the Museum’s Grand Hall. Show time is 4:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday.

Program host Geneviève Borne will be joined by Sudbury native Mathieu Pichette, who launched his Ottawa career on the TFO program Volt. Also on the team are Olivier Laroche and hilarious storyteller Fred Pellerin.

La grande virée will focus on the various activities at the Canadian Museum of Civilization. There will also be reports and interviews with passionate fans of the region, as well as segments on music and theatre, outdoor recreation, regional produce and farm holidays — a cornucopia of the Ottawa region’s summer activities and festivals.
