Curator

Dr. Klymasz is Curator, East European Programme, Cultural Studies Division, Canadian Museum of Civilization. He began his association with the Museum in 1963, has published extensively on Slavic traditions in Canada and has provided curatorial research and direction for several exhibitions.

In preparation for this exhibition, Dr. Klymasz attended the Harvard University Divinity School as Visiting Scholar in the fall of 1992.

Associate Guest Curator

Susan Butlin is a graduate of the M.A. programme in Canadian Art History at Carleton University in Ottawa. She has published several articles on Canadian art, including one on the painter A. Y. Jackson. Her research interests include Canadian women artists, leading to the publication of an exhibition catalogue on the Canadian painter Florence Carlyle. Ms. Butlin's first book, on the life and work of an early twentieth century Canadian artist, is currently under consideration for publication with the Canadian University Press.
