Pete Standing Alone, the man who keeps traditions alive Gatineau, Quebec, January 18, 2005 — On February 3, 5 and 6, join us at the Canadian Museum of Civilization for two fascinating activities presented in conjunction with the exhibition The Blackfoot Way of Life: Nitsitapiisinni. On February 3, the Museum will present Standing Alone, a biographical documentary film about Elder Pete Standing Alone of the Blood nation, as well as a discussion with Pete Standing Alone who will talk about how he has passed on traditions to his sons and supported his community. On February 5 and 6, Pete Standing Alone will be at the Museum to discuss Blackfoot culture, share Blackfoot stories and demonstrate the art of saddle-making.
