The Canadian Museum of Civilization celebrates Heritage Day with half-price admission Gatineau, Quebec, February 10, 2005 — Admission to the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Gatineau will be half-price on Saturday, February 19 and Sunday, February 20 to mark Heritage Day, which is celebrated on the third Monday in February each year.
The Museum is open both days from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It’s the ideal place to celebrate this special day honouring our national architectural heritage and the historic sites of Canada. The Museum is presenting several fascinating special exhibitions, including “Rocket” Richard, Gift of the Gods and Once in French America.
The Canadian Museum of Civilization is the largest and most visited museum in Canada. It brings 1,000 years of history to life in the popular Canada Hall and showcases the history and cultures of Canada’s Aboriginal peoples in the spectacular Grand Hall and the First Peoples Hall. The beautiful architectural complex also houses the acclaimed Canadian Children’s Museum, the Canadian Postal Museum and an IMAX Theatre.
