Just a few more days to visit Gift of the Gods at the Canadian Museum of Civilization Gatineau, Quebec, March 21, 2005 — Gift of the Gods: The Art of Wine from the Ancient World to Canadian Vineyards will close at the Canadian Museum of Civilization on April 3, 2005. The exhibition presents more than 7,000 years of traditions related to the making, serving and drinking of wine, from Greek myths to current Canadian viniculture.
Organized by the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto and sponsored by the Société des alcools du Québec, this fascinating story of wine is told with the help of 250 magnificent artifacts, primarily from the ROM collections, with additions from the collections of Brock University and Wilfrid Laurier University.
