Canada’s # 1 cultural attraction is half price on International Museum Day Weekend


Gatineau, Quebec, May 2, 2005 —The Canadian Museum of Civilization, which includes the Canadian Postal Museum and the Canadian Children’s Museum, will celebrate International Museum Day by offering half-price admission on Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15, 2005. Fascinating exhibitions and activities are available for all ages.

In the Canadian Postal Museum, must-see exhibitions include Postage Stamps: Image of a Country (until July 6, 2005), Saint Joseph in Philately (until January 6, 2006), and many other continuing exhibitions and activities.

In addition to the ongoing Passport to Adventure, the Canadian Children’s Museum is featuring a new exhibition, Your House, My House, which opens May 14, 2005 and will remain until September 6, 2005.

This summer, the Museum is presenting four new special exhibitions: Cool ’60s Design (until November 27, 2005); Beads of Life – Eastern and Southern African Adornments (until February 26, 2006); Pompeii (from May 27, 2005 to September 12, 2005); and The Caring Profession: Centuries of Nursing in Canada (from June 17, 2005 to September 4, 2006).

Our celebrated permanent exhibitions include Canada Hall, the First Peoples Hall and the Grand Hall.

Canadian War Museum is half price on International Museum Day
