Opening of the Canadian War Museum -
Free Parking and Shuttle on May 7 and 8
Ottawa, Ontario, May 2, 2005 - Everyone is invited to visit the new Canadian War Museum (CWM) on May 7 and 8. The striking architecture of the new Museum was inspired by the theme of Regeneration.
During Opening Weekend, you will not be able to park your car on the CWM site. However, we will be providing free round-trip shuttle service between the Museum and two large parking lots reserved for the occasion: the Robert Guertin Arena in Gatineau and Tunney's Pasture in Ottawa.
Shuttle Schedule
Saturday, May 7: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m
Sunday, May 8: 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
On Saturday and Sunday, the last shuttle back to the car parks will leave the Museum at 9 p.m.
Please note that on Sunday, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., shuttle services will be available between the Canadian War Museum and the National War Memorial (downtown).
