Enjoy a Groovy ’60s Afternoon at the Canadian Museum of Civilization

Gatineau, Quebec, July 14, 2005 — In conjunction with the Cool '60s Design exhibition presented until November 27, the Canadian Museum of Civilization invites the public to experience popular art techniques of the 1960s with local artists. Try your hand at macramé with Sue Scott, one of our exhibition’s featured artists, and learn the secrets of knotting threads. Roll a coil to make a bowl with clay artist Cynthia O’Brien, or learn how to tie-dye beautiful motifs with mixed-media artist Ruth Secunda, both teachers at the Ottawa School of Art.
