Outaouais Festival of Sacred Music Concerts at the Canadian Museum of Civilization Gatineau, Quebec, October 13, 2005 — The Canadian Museum of Civilization will present three captivating concerts in the Theatre as part of the 8th edition of the Outaouais Festival of Sacred Music, held from October 20 to 30. Let yourself be transported by the performances of Natalie Choquette, the Ottawa Klezmer Band and Alexis Kochan, who will enchant their audiences with the beauty of their voices and music.
Celebrate women’s history with singer Natalie Choquette, accompanied by the Chorale du Conservatoire de musique de Gatineau. The Ottawa Klezmer Band features “world music” that resonates in every heart for an exhilarating evening of handclapping and harmony. Finally, singer Alexis Kochan will present a fascinating blend of pre-Christian ritual song, medieval chant and Ukrainian folk melodies and reveal the beauty of Ukrainian Orthodox music (presented in conjunction with the exhibition Acres of Dreams).
